In an effort to capture the ‘everyday’ moments in my life I am participating in the 10-on-10 photography project organized by my friend Jayme Franklin. The idea is that 10 photographers will shoot 10 photographs every hour for 10 hours throughout one day and post them on the 10th day of the month with one goal in mind, to creatively photograph the simple moments of your life as a way to appreciate the joy in the everyday. I have to admit I am really struggling with this! All of my days seem to look the same, so rather than post the same day over and over, this month I chose to photograph….a day in the life of Simon.
Simon is one of my cats. If you were to look through all my photographs, you might think that I only had one furry child. That is because my gray tabby Lily is incredibly photogenic. She seems to know that she is beautiful and when you point a camera at her she instantly poses. As a result I have hundreds of photos of her! On the other hand Simon…well…he isn’t quite so cooperative. He likes to walk towards you purring as soon as he sees you with a camera. His little dark face makes it difficult to capture how cute he is…and he’s super cute! It seemed like a good challenge to spend a whole day capturing photographs of my boy Simon…..so here it is….a day in the life of Simon.
