I am very excited to be participating in this personal photography project organized by my friend Jayme Franklin from the Bloom Forum. The project: 10 photographers will shoot 10 photographs every hour for 10 hours throughout one day and post them on the 10th day of the month.
The idea behind the 10 on 10 project is to attempt to photograph and capture the ordinary moments throughout an ordinary day to tell the story that is our everyday lives. For me it means to see the beauty in the everyday things surrounding me and, hopefully, learn to appreciate the life I lead just a little more.
So here it is…my day:
6am – I wake up every morning with one of my furry children curled up next to my pillow where she has been sleeping all night.

7am – An hour later she is still right with me helping me get ready for work.

8am – And at breakfast…

9am – Sitting at work during our weekly group meeting. Two people in my lab present their science each Tuesday. They weren’t too happy to have the shutter of my camera going off while they were presenting…luckily they are used to my camera by now.

10 am – And an hour later…still in group meeting with another hour to go.

11am – Setting up some experiments at my bench…

12pm – At lunchtime we took my friend’s dog out for a walk.

2pm – More experiments….

4pm – In the evening my lab played indoor soccer against another lab. First victory of the season!

6pm – And more experiments….

7pm – View of the campus from the parking garage as I get into my car to head home.

Please don’t forget to visit the other amazing photographers participating in this project with me and follow the circle around to all of us. Next visit the talented Melinda Meredith!
